Kharkiv Human Rights Group (HPG) is working simultaneously in three areas:
♦ assistance to individuals whose rights are violated, public investigation into violations of human rights;
♦ legal education, promotion of human rights ideas through public events and publishing;
♦ analysis of the human rights situation in Ukraine.
HPG has established a human rights network that connects local human rights organizations in all regions of Ukraine, and serves as its resource center, especially in the media plan. Bulletin HPG "Human Rights" in Ukrainian and English focusing on the first direction information and its initial analysis bulletin "Civic Education" and special editions - the second and third directions. The results of studies freedom of opinion, expression and information in Ukraine covered in the quarterly "Freedom of expression and privacy," studies the history of human rights movement in Ukraine - in numerous publications.
Today, the HPG are more than 50 people - journalists, historians, linguists, lawyers, mathematicians, physicists, programmers, teachers, engineers, students. The staff consists of 17 people, the rest - and part-time volunteer. We provide short information on the results of the projects performed HPG.
