About us

ADRA Ukraine - the representation of the worldwide network of the Adventist Development and Relief Agency, which operates in 134 countries and unites several thousand staff members and volunteers. ADRA of Ukraine has been operating since 1993. During this time, more than 150 different projects were implemented, thanks to which more than 500,000 people in need received material, social and psychological assistance.

Each office provides activities for several projects.

◾ In Mariupol, we have a WASH project in partnership with UNICEF. Within the framework of this project, the following activities are carried out: provision of drinking water through repair of water supply networks, installation of water storage tanks and distribution of bottled water; Distribution of certificates for the personal hygiene products; Distribution of hygiene kits for institutions and (children, adults, families) to people living in the conflict zone who do not have access to hygiene products; Information campaign (family and children's events "Country of Health" and Puppet Theaters); Development and launch of a website, video and games).

◾ The Winterization Project in partnership with UNICEF. The main tasks are to provide quality drinking water, improve sanitation and inform on the hygiene of communities affected by the conflict in the Donetsk region of Ukraine.

◾ Psychosocial assistance project "The Shelter", funded by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Program for the reconstruction of housing and psychosocial assistance in the east of Ukraine. The project provides for the restoration of houses (I, II, III categories of destruction) damaged as a result of the military conflict, as well as psychosocial assistance in the form of repair and restoration of private houses and apartments partially or completely destroyed as a result of the conflict.

◾ In Kyiv, the organisation operates a centre for the protection of communities and children, as well as other projects.
